Poison

Of all the things we parents need to worry about: strangers, perverts, disease, terrorism and now poison in our kids’ toys.
First it was Thomas trains, then Mattel, now curious george? It makes me wonder about ALL the toys in our household- especially the wooden blocks and the thousands and thousands of hotwheels…

Lesson ideas:
Color hunts. Take them outside and have them find one new color a day. you’d be surprised how fast they retain info when they are actively participating.
Make a ‘color’ book. Instructions on the way!
Give them a one colored snack. Ex: Red apples for red day, star fruits for yellow [...]
Gingerbirdhouses

I’m not sure where this gingerbirdhouse idea came from- it just sort of fell into my head last week, so I decided to do it with my kids.
I have to warn you that it’s not an easy-breezy craft,and because a hot glue gun is involved, you will do most of it, but it’s soooo worth [...]
